Position Summary: The 'Sr Manager, Finance' position has responsibility for developing, implementing and coordinating the centralized Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function supporting the Array portion of Illumina’s business, as well as other financial analysis and ad hoc projects. The position requires strong technical, analytical, communication, presentation skills, as well as collaboration with functions across the company. Responsibilities: Maximize long-term shareholder value while protecting corporate assets Direct financial support for the head of the Array business Develop FP&A tools and processes to support Arrays functions worldwide Create monthly packages to be utilized for financial management reporting, including variance explanations, forecast updates, scenario building and other analysis Coordinate the monthly financial management reporting process to consolidate and report on variances to GIS objectives, calling out business risks/gaps to Senior Management Work closely with the Array team to lead the departmental annual operating plan process; support and influence global Array operations Prepare financial analysis to understand costs, benefits, and return on investment for strategic projects Support the Arrays commercial function with revenue forecasting, reporting, market modeling and long-range planning Partner with the Array departments to provide financial modeling, analytics, forecasting and general internal finance support Interact with Array budget managers to review actual results and variances to budgets and forecast; update quarterly rolling forecasts Analyze, synthesize and translate data into key strategic inputs and insights that will drive strategic decision making at the executive level Assist with Corporate FP&A to support broad company analytics, projects and initiatives as needed Utilize financial systems to complete tasks (i.e. Cognos TM1, Cognos BI, SalesForce.Com, SAP) Support monthly/quarterly close process as it pertains to operating expense management, general ledger reviews, headcount reviews, accruals, and other related processes Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs Requirements: 7-10 years Finance experience, preferably in a high growth environment Excellent communication skills required Ability to credibly achieve results through influence and persuasion Exhibits clear leadership and development potential Exceptional interpersonal soft skills and ability to establish strong rapport and partnerships at all levels of the organization Self-directed and able to work well and communicate effectively in a team environment. Hands on and able to work with minimal supervision.
