Summary Position requires a level individual with excellent oral and written communication skills. Must understand and be capable of interpreting contract language. Position requires the management of the commercial aspects of the subcontracts in the field from inquiry through award, execution, and closeout of the subcontracts pursuant to established procedures. Establish proposed bidders list for all subcontracts, including pre qualification of bidders. Issue inquiry packages in accordance with execution schedule. Is the liaison with Commercial/Legal group regarding Subcontract Terms and Conditions negotiations. Work with Engineering regarding the technical content of each inquiry and Subcontract. Evaluate bids/proposals and prepares the conditioned bid tab and award recommendation documentation for award. Develops and distributes 'Conformed Subcontracts' following award. Negotiate change orders and other commercial oriented matters through closeout. Maintains proper files on all pre-award and post award documentation. Responsible for auditing and processing subcontract invoices for payment, maintaining subcontract logs and issuing weekly and monthly department and project reporting. Work with minimal oversight. Perform full subcontract administration duties and work directly with Construction to oversee activities of multiple Subcontractors at the project site. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. System proficiency (Prolog) a plus. Qualifications 10+ years of specific experience in industrial contract management in lieu of degree is acceptable however degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, law or other applicable field is a plus. The only related experience that will be accepted will be in the industrial construction industry – chemicals, petrochemicals, power and refineries. Intimate knowledge of all phases of contracting activities is required. Strong working knowledge of Contract Law. Thorough knowledge of engineering, construction and subcontracting techniques with strong working knowledge of technical aspects necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
