Position Summary The Manager of Operations will be part of the Jacobs Field Services management team. In this leadership role, the Manager of Operations will interact with Jacobs sites, clients, and engineering offices to ensure successful management of all Field Services functions in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. Primary Responsibilities Ensures the workforce is committed to the Beyond Zero culture of caring philosophy thereby creating a safe working environment. Manages a safety program that reinforces an overall responsibility for the Profit and Loss (P&L) performance of the client site. Directs, develops, communicates, and implements the company’s strategic goals to assigned area of responsibility Identifies market trends and applications for existing and new technologies Monitors and supports the pursuit of viable business opportunities Supplies resources and training necessary to assess, screen, and develop business opportunities and optimize utilization of resources Recruits, manages, and develops the necessary professional, technical, and administrative staff personnel to provide support services Develops strong relationships with internal and external clients, and with engineering and matrix counterparts Develops and administers budgets, schedules and performance standards for designated sites Acts as a key participant in all contract discussions, especially around proposed contract amendments. Acts as a conduit for clients to reach back into Jacobs. Provides oversight of assigned projects for long-range manpower requirements. Coordinates the establishment of the infrastructure and implementation of the various information technology tools/systems (field project controls, safety, timekeeping, administrative, etc.) to effectively and efficiently operate the site and prepare stewardship reports for Jacobs and the client. Establishes an Incident and Injury Free approach to performing work. Qualifications Minimum of 15 years experience in industrial construction and/or maintenance field required Minimum of 10 years of management experience, preferably at the site manager level or higher required Minimum of 10 years experience managing direct-hire/craft labor required Demonstrated safety leadership experience required BS/MS in construction or engineering preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with people at all levels of the organization.
