Position Summary: Supervises, coordinates, and schedules work activities of craft services in conformance with plans, quality specifications, schedules and cost estimates. Technical/Functional Responsibilities: Monitors the activities of contractors and subcontractors performing craftwork, ensuring compliance with project quality, safety, and security requirements Ensures that subordinates are trained on and aware of specifications and work procedures and are utilized to ensure optimal efficiency Maintains effective schedule and cost control of craft personnel Plans required work activity to ensure that design drawings, tools, equipment, and materials are available when needed Responsible for safety of supervised personnel; ensures that craft personnel comply with established safety policies and procedures, and that they practice safe work habits Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall quality and efficiency. Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of nonexempt employees. Monitors daily operations of a unit and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required. May perform ongoing operational tasks of organization’s units. Majority of contacts is internal with subordinates and supervisors at same level or one level higher. External contacts are infrequent and involve routine matters Qualifications 5 years in craft ranks, 3 -5 years as general foreman; JE Training: LSE, SFS, Level 1; high school graduate or equivalent; computer literate.
