What you’ll be doing...

The primary responsibility includes building a mobile platform for Self-Service, Online Sales, Acquisition, Onboarding, Support, Diagnostics and Customer engagement, utilizing analytics to refine strategies and focus on leading, mentoring the Digital organization.

Responsibilities also include Mobilization of IT and other internal Verizon applications, increasing employee productivity through utilization of mobile devices and building mobile innovation and messaging platform and gateway.

In addition, the director defines the technical capabilities and resources necessary to meet the needs of the Digital organization. Drives self-service, mobile commerce and innovation by leveraging products and services with collaboration of internal and external resources, including IT, Security and Marketing partners. Motivates the team to achieve goals and operational excellence. Hires and develops/grooms to meet and exceed key performance objectives. Builds commerce solutions. Builds/Create/Modifies our .com sites and configure them according to business needs. Install and Provisions applications. Ensures service level goals are met with minimal disruptions to the business and/or clients. Implements operational procedures to maximize systems availability and efficiency. Other responsibilities include partnering with Billing team, Device Evolution, Product Development, Device Marketing and Network. Motivating and guiding team in developing applications and use cases for emerging technologies such as IoT, OMA/DM, Device diagnostics, MDM, WiFi, Bluetooth, wearable’s, Alexa/Google Home, etc.

Drives team to meet all time lines of releases follows yearly audit and security requirements. Accountable for achieving yearly mile stones, driving growth with innovative products and services. Responsible for ongoing IT training initiatives across Agile, Device and Transformation initiatives. Conducts meetings with potential and existing stake holders to establish strong working relationships and promote mobilization efforts. Manages mobility and innovation presentations and summits. Participates in senior leadership meetings. Conducts and holds town hall style meetings to update and answer employee questions.

Responsible for managing the overall operations of Web & Mobile, building and maintaining platforms for Web & Mobile applications. Strong working knowledge of cloud services, good understanding of their pricing structure and their availability. Defines processes for mobilization, data products and services, good understanding of sign off processes and submissions to the app stores. Manage operating budget. Analyzes reports and operation results, and develops action plans designed to increase productivity and operations efficiency. Responsible for Change Control process, yearly audits, security certification, Systems Availability.Analyzes technology trends, mobile adoption and discover opportunities for growth. Reviews tracking reports and stays continuously updated on results. Develops strategies for application leads to support growth opportunities for products and services. Remains current on all wireless/mobility products and services, industry and competitive trends, and reinforce findings with the team.

  • 10 or more years IT application management experience including staff development, preferably in a Web & Mobility/Mobile App platform
  • 5+ years of application experience in wireless Products and Services preferred
  • Proven experience leading the application alignment with key stakeholders
  • Experience managing large projects, budgets, and operations
  • Superior organizational, interpersonal, communication, and operations skills
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills are required
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to train, motivate and direct highly-skilled employees
