Posting Summary

Oversee the day-to-day implementation of research studies on nicotine and tobacco use and work closely with the research team in the Vermont Center on Behavior and Health. Obtain consents and schedule visits with research participants. Responsible for scheduling study team meetings and participant interviews and focus groups. Coordinate physiological and psychological testing, and sample collection and analysis. Ensure that study subjects are compensated. Assist in data base management and protocol management with the IRB. Assist with program budget, maintain files and records, use discretion regarding sensitive information, and maintain confidentiality within the framework of the University guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Psychology, Public Health or closely related discipline with one to three years’ experience required. Working knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing and database applications required. Effective communication and organizational skills required.

Desirable Qualifications

Prior research experience is a strength, as is any experience with challenging clinical populations.

Experience with computer graphics and database management, and Excel application desirable.

4 month probationary period is required

Special Conditions Contingent on continued funding, Occasional overtime/weekend hours required, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees

Payband Max (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE)) 54150.00
