Lead the Spatial Analysis Laboratory’s Unoccupied Aircraft Systems (UAS) activities. Acquire, process, analyze, and document UAS datasets. Work with external partners to scope and execute UAS missions. Develop training materials and participate in instructional activities.
|Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)||
Bachelor’s degree in scientific field and three to five years’ related experience to include experience in the UAS industry, FAA licensed Part 107 UAS operator, operation of fixed-wing and multi-rotor UAS platforms, and knowledge of photogrammetric image processing workflows required. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a variety of geospatial software packages required. Experience in UAS training activities required. Knowledge of principles, practices, terminology, and trends in geospatial technology required. Experience processing vector, raster, and point cloud datasets required. Ability to travel to/from field sites required.
