Provide operational support for the Associate Dean within the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources to ensure that the Associate Dean is prepared to lead and represent the school’s academic and research endeavors. Maintain the Associate Dean’s calendars, prepare meeting materials, cultivate a professional and welcoming climate in the Dean’s office, and respond to needs and requests as they arise. Specific responsibilities are to assist the Associate Dean with faculty and staff workload assignments, sabbatical planning, lecturer appointments, performance reviews, reappointment, promotion and tenure dossiers, course scheduling, electronic course evaluations, faculty meetings, research program development, and funding agency communications. Assist with preparation of and attend school-wide events, such as the Family/Alumni weekend, Commencement, Faculty and Staff Appreciation gatherings and other special events, as requested.
|Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)||
Associate’s degree and one to three years of related experience required. Effective written and oral communication skills required. Working knowledge of software applications used to support office functions and familiarity with Internet resources required. Ability to learn new business processes, work effectively as a member of a team, and contribute to a positive and collegiate workplace environment required.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook desirable. Familiarity with UVM systems such as Banner Student Information System, CourseLeaf, and business processes desirable.
