Posting Summary

As an integral member of Housing Operations in the Administrative Services Team (AST), provide staff support in the main office of the Department of Residential Life located in Robinson Hall. Serve as the primary staff member at the department customer service desk. Hire and supervise student staff members. Provide administrative support to the Director of Residential Life. Receive supervision from the Assistant Director of Operational Success. Advance the Divisional and the Department commitment to diversity and social justice by fostering an inclusive culture of student learning, personal growth, community involvement, and programming in order to develop a socially just and safe community of global citizens.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Associates degree in Business Administration or related field and one to three years of related experience to include general knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheets, and databases), and Internet applications (email, WWW) required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and prioritize competing demands required. Effective customer service skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external students and customers of diverse backgrounds required. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, social justice, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment required.

Desirable Qualifications

Knowledge of University of Vermont policies and procedures desirable.
