Job Description

To support our growth, we are currently seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to lead and grow ICF’s energy efficiency programs. You will lead the development and management of multiple energy efficiency programs and build relationships with clients as you work with them to design and implement program strategies. You will also manage and mentor ICF team members and execute recruitment and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program design, including identification, analysis and selection of appropriate energy efficiency measures and development of effective delivery strategies
  • Program implementation including development and execution of detailed and effective implementation and management plans, quality control, or program evaluation strategies
  • Manage program participation forecasts, goal achievement, and financials
  • Direct management of staff including project leads, individual contributors and subject matter experts
  • Primary interface with client(s) – day to day and future planning
  • Contribute to the growth of portfolios through exceptional delivery, innovation, and advisory consulting

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Studies, Energy Resources, Policy, or Business Management
  • 10+ years of experience developing designing or administering successful utility programs such as energy efficiency, demand response, solar/storage, or revenue generation
  • 5+ years of experience managing consulting projects for utilities, state energy offices, state/local governments, and regional non-profits

  • Ability to establish influential partnerships at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience with business development and client development
  • Recognized internally and externally for expertise in functional area
  • Industry certifications, professional affiliations, and publications

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal employees, as well as outside clients and vendors
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities
