Job Description

ICF is seeking a Senior level Biologist with extensive experience in field data collection, document writing (CEQA, NEPA, Section 7 BAs, Caltrans technical studies), and project management.  Candidates must have experience analyzing impacts on both state and federally listed, as well as special-status species in northern California and must have good writing skills. Prior experience managing tasks or projects is also required. 

The Senior Biologist candidate will have good analytical and problem-solving skills, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. The position is primarily based in Northern California, however, work may occur throughout California.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. in Biology with an emphasis on Wildlife Biology
  • 5 to 10+ years of experience working in environmental consulting and/or at a state or federal agency where their primary duty was conducting biological resource impact analyses and working on CEQA and/or NEPA documents.
  • Knowledge of special-status wildlife species that inhabit northern California.
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills to represent ICF with key external clients.
