ICF is adding a field-based Account Manager to its California energy efficiency team to support a range of energy efficiency efforts. Our clients include utilities, recognizable Fortune 500 global corporations, as well as a variety of industry, and Government organizations. In this important role you will work for utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs focused on the residential market in the Inland Empire/Coachella Valley. This is an opportunity to apply your experience, gain exposure to high-visibility projects, interact with customers and contractor trades, while building subject matter expertise and consulting skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Representing the program with customers and contractors
  • Preparing persuasive presentations that motivate customers to implement energy efficiency projects
  • Educating contractors on energy efficiency and selling value-added services to help customers reduce energy use  
  • Understanding market barriers to energy efficiency and working with program team to overcome those barriers
  • Building strategic relationships with key stakeholders including local civic leaders, chambers of commerce, CBOs, etc.
  • Tracking and reporting of key metrics including customer conversations, meetings and appointments in CRM system
  • Prioritizing field activities as necessary to meet performance goals    

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Life/Physical Sciences, Engineering or related subject
  • 3+ years of professional experience within the energy efficiency industry
  • Familiarity with the residential market and with related energy efficiency, demand response, renewable and distributed energy resource technologies

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Familiarity with the residential market and with related energy efficiency, demand response, renewable and distributed energy resource technologies
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
  • Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
