Jacobs has an opening for a UI Developer with an active TS Clearance to support a customer in the DC area. Duties include
  • Assist the government in designing, creating and implementing a cloud-based graphic user interface for an AWS SQL Server database.
  • Integrate disparate user interfaces into a single user interface.
  • Design, develop, or integrate with existing access and authorization controls to ensure only authorized users and administrators can access data contained within the system
  • Design, develop, and implement system monitoring and audit capabilities.
  • Assess and provide recommendations to improve the database that supports Spend Plan development, budget formulation and execution reporting, and linkages to I&A Table of Organization (TO).
  • Communicate with management, stakeholders, technicians, and end-users to evaluate front end integration solutions.
  • Design, create, and maintain front end in a client/server environment. 
  • Conduct quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
  • Train users on inputting and retrieving data from AWS SQL Server database. 
  • Test front end with users to ensure all users able to connection to AWS SQL Server.
  • Analyze functional business requirements and design specifications for functional activities, including: budget, acquisitions, security, program offices, and human resources. 
  • Provide customers with commercially available IT (SQL server/AWS) products, and creating requirements that will allow implementation by the architecture and engineering team. 
  • Develop and implement plan to connect SQL server database with JAVA or latest database front end.
Qualifications (minimum requirements, per the contract):  
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. 
  • BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years to eight (8) years of progressive, relevant experience, or  any equivalent combination of education, experience, training and certifications. 
  • Demonstrated experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Experience with AWS Lambda, CloudWatch, EC2, RDS and AWS CLI
  • Knowledge of coding languages such as HTML, CSS, OO JavaScript, MS SQL server, jQuery knowledge (with client and server-side technology) and XML 
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and designing for performance.
  • Familiarity with code repositories
  • Familiarity with COGNOS
  • Must be knowledgeable of a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Experience working in an Agile/ Scrum team
Preferred Qualifications (desired but not required):
  • AWS Solutions Architect
  • Project Management Professional
Essential Functions:
Physical Requirements:Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
Work Environment:General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment & Machines:General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance:Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday.  However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
