What you’ll be doing...
This position is required to provide engineering support for the OCS suite of services nationally, including Prepaid, Usage Control, Account Group Share, Real Time Reporting, eSM, eCGS, D/R Routers, M2M, and SRPs. OCS is a multi-departmental national platform comprised of 100+ network elements. The designs for OCS require in-depth knowledge of the hardware, software, and call flows. The MTS-IV Consultant is responsible for the execution and implementation of feature designs, engineering support of the OCS network elements, services, capacity and demand, and execution of the POR (Plan of Record).
This position will be responsible for managing multiple projects, heavily involved in migrating applications from bare metal to VCP core.
Provide direction on technical design issues and manage to resolution any variances identified.
Work independently with minimal supervision, while keeping management and project team fully aware of implementation schedule progress.
Learn and maintain operational excellence. The engineer is expected to identify and bring to management’s attention areas of improvement as the deployment evolves.
