What you’ll be doing...

You will function as an Ops specialist for physical and virtual platforms in a fast-paced environment providing application support and IMS Call flow expertise in support of the One Talk platform. Your primary function will be to provide production support for One Talk services to include ECS, Presence, CM Proxy and Cloud NMS. This includes software and configuration change deployments and process improvements.

As primary production support, you’ll take charge of issues that arise and lead calls with multiple parties to ensure issues are resolved quickly and we continue to provide a high level of reliability to our customers. Overseeing the reporting of service KPI and analytics for the new and existing services related to One Talk, you’ll ensure the applications are healthy and engage the vendor to resolve anomalies as they arise. You’ll partner closely with One Talk engineers to deploy detailed project plans and ensure service reliability. You should have hands-on experience at an operational level demonstrating expertise in (Linux/OpenStack/Application Deployment/Programming) as well as debugging techniques for the application and system.


  • On-call rotation and will require up to 50%-night work depending on the needs of the business.
  • Perform expert-level troubleshooting and debugging of both network and application system issues.
  • Implement detailed project plans and provide input to weekly status calls with teams across several organizations.
  • Implement tenant operations MOPs for patches and new releases with a focus on reduction of mean time to repair.
  • Run reports for daily KPI measurements and help engineering address capacity and demand growth on the systems.
  • Oversee the reporting of service KPI and analytics for the physical and virtual SDM components.
  • Call flow debugging expertise utilizing IrisView, Wireshark and NetScout applications is required.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or three or more years ofwork experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to work on-call rotation and will require up to 50%-night work depending on the needs of the business.

Even better if you have:

  • A Degree.
  • Knowledge of OpenStack architecture and networking with special attention on automation using heat scripts and Ansible.
  • Experience at an operational level demonstrating skills with Linux, Python, OpenStack, and Application Deployment as well as debugging techniques for the application and systems.
  • Good communication skills where you will interface with multiple teams supporting a live production network where response and resolution time are critical to ensure reliability.
  • Knowledge of IrisView, NetScout, wireshark, tcpdump, ping, and netstat.
  • Knowledge of 4G call flow and capability to explain fundamental building blocks of IMS.
  • Ability to demonstrate applied skills and working knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DIAMETER, SIP, and LDAP.
  • Willingness to travel.
