What you’ll be doing...

The Technical Lead Analyst/Solution Architect is in the Federal IT Support group within Global Technology Solutions (GTS) and will report directly to the GTS IT Director responsible for all of Public Sector.

You will lead Business Transformation initiatives for the Public Sector, and manage the modernization and re-engineering of existing Public Sector customer and center facing solutions.

  • Leading GTS Tech developers in design and delivery E2E customer solutions serving our public sector customer and sales support team.
  • Reviewing and analyzing Public Sector RFP's, and translating the customer requirements.
  • Analyzing customer operations to understand requirements and determine opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Developing design solutions and functional specifications, produce project related deliverables, and assist in post implementation support and system enhancements.
  • Acting as a liaison between Public Sector GTS and the Business Teams, Federal Agencies, Network Solution Architects, Product Teams, and Enterprise Architects in order to supply technical solutions to meet contractual and operational requirements.
  • Providing support to support Federal, SLED, and Smart Communications.

You have excellent communication (both written and verbal) and networking skills with the ability to present to all levels of the organization. You possess both technical and customer-facing skills that will allow you to be the “face” of both the business and engineers. You will have the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges all going towards Verizon’s NorthStar objective.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or relative Engineering.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience as a system engineer, solutions architect, or other related technical background.
  • Experience with Public Sector contracts and RFP/RFI process.
  • Experience with Business Support Systems Certification process.
