    Product Engineering Intern (20-24 weeks):

    The Product Engineering Intern will be required to complete a 20 to 24 weeks program. Students can choose to participate during the May/Aug to Oct/Dec 2020 period. Selected candidates will be invited to submit a video interview, and top candidates will be invited to our office to attend an assessment event. Offers will be extended following the event.

     

    Project Description:

    The Product Engineering Intern will report directly to the Senior Manager, Lifecycle Management and will be part of the Lifecycle Management team. He/She will apply programming and scripting skills for manufacturing data engineering which will include data extraction, data cleaning and visualization. The Internship will provide candidates with hands-on experience applying technical skills in the manufacturing data engineering pipeline and understand business needs in a manufacturing environment.

     

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Apply programming and scripting skills for manufacturing data engineering, including data extraction from the system, data cleaning and visualization.
    • Extract data on Fully Functional Nucleotides (FFN) Swap test from Reagent QC workbooks.
    • Link data extracted to production database and build dashboard for visualization and monitoring purposes.
    • Learn and have fun!

     

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, ideally in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics or Computer Sciences/Engineering.
    • Competent in data mining languages such as R, SQL.
    • Self-starter with the ability to work within a highly collaborative environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
