About the Role

The Analytics & Insights Manager will lead the Analytics & Insights function for the US & Canada Community Operations organization, which is responsible for providing customer support to the rider, driver, and restaurant community. Based in San Francisco, but working with teams across the US, this role will provide critical business insights to manage service operations and drive key business decisions. Leveraging operational and analytical experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, this person will manage a large team and will be instrumental in driving our business forward. We're looking for a strategic critical thinker and a functional leader.

The ideal candidate for this role should have strong analytical skills, experience managing a team, excellent time-management and organizational habits, and the ability to clearly communicate and present information to inform and influence business decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, mentor and grow a large team of analysts and managers spanning all of Uber's customer support operations for Rides, Eats, Freight, Jump, and more
  • Drive and oversee analysis to drive key strategic and operational decisions
  • Streamline and standardize analytics across US & Canada
  • Build tools, dashboard, reports to enable day to day management of CommOps
  • Identify and clearly communicate actionable insights for stakeholders and executives
  • Create analytics infrastructure and standards

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 7+ years investment banking / consulting / business intelligence or related experience and 2+ years as a people manager
  • Proven ability to be an effective leader managing teams / manager of manager
  • Exceptional communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work with remote teams and across time zones to develop strategies and foster a cohesive and creative work environment
  • Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength
  • Explorer - the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role
  • Exceptional Excel / data management skills
  • SQL proficiency
