Expanding the opportunity for drivers to partner with Uber is at the core of what we do - it's igniting opportunity and ensuring equal access to the Uber platform. We believe that the future is electric and want to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles on our platform.

Your role will be to lead this initiative - understand the challenges facing electric vehicle adoption, and work with several stakeholders to overcome them. You will create a strategy, test and execute with the goal of increasing the number of electric vehicles on Uber. You will work with OEMs, charging infrastructure companies, financiers and other players in the ecosystem.

We are looking for an exceptional individual who can apply a first-principles approach to shape and execute our electrification strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Create the vision and strategy for electrification in the US and Canada
  • Develop holistic strategies in close partnership with product, operations, marketing and business development
  • Shape how Uber interfaces with the auto industry when it comes to electrification needs
  • Examine industry trends and innovations
  • Internal knowledge sharing and education to bring relevant stakeholders up to speed on electrification

What You'll Need

  • 8+ years of entrepreneurial, management consulting, investment banking or operating experience in high growth environments
  • Industry experience with electric vehicles, charging infrastructure or utilities is required
  • Familiarity with the vehicle OEMs, vehicle rental, and vehicle lease industries ideal but not required
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and a demonstrated ability to problem solve in a new and unfamiliar environment
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently, with strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This role will be based in San Francisco and will report to the Global Head of Vehicles.

At Uber, we ignite opportunity by setting the world in motion. We take on big problems to help drivers, riders, delivery partners, and eaters get moving in more than 600 cities around the world.

We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let's move the world forward, together.
