-Technical lead that can support electrical design and oversee manufacturing of custom electronics from the concept stage to prototype, qualification testing and production.
-Employee will be responsible for system and module level block diagrams, schematic capture and layout, BOM generation, configuration management, test procedure generation and product testing.
-Employee will interface with the Mechanical Engineering team to support packaging efforts, and coordinate with the assembly team and SMT shop, internal or external, to manufacture products on time and within cost.
-Typical product work consists of COTs integration of EO/IR and similar hardware onto airborne platforms, like airborne imagery collection pods, power distribution units, battery backup units, environmental control units, antenna or sensor positioners, sensor control modules, timing trigger and control modules, and various other products.
-Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise.
-Develops technical solutions to complex problems.
-Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience, or a
-Master's (preferred) with 3+ years of experience.
-Schematic Capture and Layout using Altium or similar.
-PCB Layout, Fabrication and Assembly.
-Embedded Firmware Design, PIC Microcontroller design a plus.
-Electrical design experience with USB 3.0, SATA III, Gigabit Ethernet and IEEE1588 circuits a plus.
-Switching Power Supply Design Experience.
-RF Design experience is a plus.
-Design familiarity to MilStd810, MilStd461, MilStd704 with testing and troubleshooting skills.
-Design for Manufacturability.
-Test Equipment knowledge- Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscopes, DMM’s.
-Automated test generation.
