Contributions

Operate with latitude in performing complex duties related to performance management, financial management, compliance/operational discipline, and staffing issues for our federal civilian business unit. Provide value-added expertise in developing new concepts, techniques, and standards. Utilize wide-ranging experience to conduct research and problem-solving on highly significant matters. Support Sector Operations and Project Management Offices responsibilities. Reports to a Vice President or Operations.

 

Key Job Functions

  • Assume a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies to achieve the unit's long-term goals and objectives. Recommend actions.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative matters related to budget, technology, space, and procurement, among others. Collaborate with staff in improving internal administrative processes. Help oversee financial management of budgets, including allocations.
  • Develop, track, and assess key performance measures across the business unit. Develop management reports. Provide relevant data for unit monthly reports.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources in planning and managing the staffing needs of the unit.
  • Support company-wide, executive level, and external communication and presentation requests.
  • May perform highly complex projects or participate as a team member on projects at the highest level of complexity.
  • May also have Project Management Office responsibility

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in information technology consulting services engagements, including the development of technical and management strategies and suporting multiple complex projects.
  • BS in Technical, Business, Marketing or related field.
  • Attention to detail, discretion, ability to anticipate needs and ability to deal effectively at all levels is critical.
  • Strong communications, writing and organizational skills, plus good judgement, ability to act with a sense of urgency and comfort with ambiguity are required.
  • High degree of respect for confidentiality.
  • Strong process facilitation, process management and improvement skills
  • Mindset of continuous improvement as well as flexibility and adaptability
  • Interact directly with managers / senior managers requiring an intermediate / expert level of presentation, relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Experience supporting budgets, contractual and project deadlines, and supporting multiple teams.
  • Experience supporting metrics for program exectiong (program products, services, deliverables, financials)
  • Experience supporting overall contract financial oversight to include labor utilization, estimates at completion, revenue, and maintains profit and loss responsibility.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, MS Project, Excel, and Slack.
