Description
 We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering student for summer internship responsible for design, development, and performance evaluation of hardware solutions in a team environment. The candidate will be guided by senior engineers to develop approaches and architectures to satisfy specific system requirements. He/she will become familiar with our engineering process: simulation, schematic entry, circuit layout, hands on prototyping with laser board fabrication, component soldering, and ending with performance testing. Typical intern assignments are preselection/low noise amplifiers, medium power amplifiers, frequency up/down conversion, and phase locked loop synthesizers.
 
Qualifications
 Skills expected to be developed during this internship include:
  • Experience in RF/Microwave/Analog circuit simulation (AWR NI Cadence Microwave Office), design and development
  • Ability to setup and operate RF test equipment such as Spectrum and Network Analyzers
  • Schematic entry and fundamental layout considerations
  • Ability to read and understand datasheets for RF and Analog components
  • Exposure to a dynamic environment with cross-functional teams
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Practice in technical material communication and documentation skills
This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Clearance processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
