Jacobs is seeking a Sharepoint Front End Developer in Alexandria, VA.
Mid-level SharePoint Front End Developer with strong knowledge and solid experience with front-end development technologies to include but not limited to CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Bootstrap, and the ability to apply these technologies to site development in SharePoint 2016.  Candidate will need an eye for design, be able to effectively communicate with customers, and self-prioritize tasks and work. 
 
Duties will include:
  • Design, develop, and maintain key components of the SharePoint 2016
  • Understanding and application of user interface/user experience (UI/UX) concepts
  • Implement complex user interfaces within the SharePoint 2016 development framework 
  • Create and maintain sites and site collections. Serve as site/sub-site administrator for one or more SharePoint sites.
  • Utilize custom libraries and JavaScript frameworks to build solutions for internal customers.
  • Independently develop solutions that meet internal stakeholder requirements.
  • Ability to interface with senior business decision-makers in a professional manner to understand their requirements and analyze these requirements in order to plan, execute, and manage the delivery of SharePoint capabilities
  • Work closely with Senior SharePoint Developers, Project Managers, Technical Leads, Business Analysts, and business office subject matter experts on a variety of projects. Connect with a growing team that develops innovative solutions.
 
 
Qualifications
 
 
  • Candidate must have 6+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree (Commensurate education for experience)
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • 3+ years of development experience with SharePoint 2016
  • Strong general web development skills, hands-on experience, and knowledge of JavaScript/JQuery and other front-end development tools and languages
  • 3+ years using JavaScript frameworks and libraries e.g. jQuery, jQueryUI or Bootstrap preferred
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and build complex out of the box SharePoint solutions using but not limited to SharePoint Designer
  • Prior use of the SharePoint client object model (CSOM) to query lists, manipulate list items, create on-demand reports and mashups of data, to deliver easy to understand content
  • 2+ years of business process analysis, user requirements development and documentation, SDLC programming and systems analysis
  • Experience with C#/.NET SharePoint Development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to present complex technical solutions to non-technical staff or customers
  • Excellent team player with strong analytical, organizational, and conceptual skills.
  • Solid presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Work independently on tasks within a larger development team in an Agile like environment
 
Desired Qualifications (desired but not required):
  • Microsoft SharePoint Certifications a plus
  • Experience with development in SharePoint Online a plus
  • Familiarity with SQL and SQL reporting services

Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
 
Work Environment:
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
 
Equipment & Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
 
Attendance:
Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday.  However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
