What you’ll be doing...
Verizon recently acquired BlueJeans and plans to transition BlueJeans employees into Verizon compensation and benefits programs. This position will be part of that planned transition.
The Lead Web Developer is responsible for leading BlueJeans’ website development initiatives, including both new projects as well as ongoing maintenance. This role reports into Marketing to ensure close alignment with ongoing content updates and campaign initiatives.
The BlueJeans website is more than just a marketing site, it is the gateway to our product, the launchpad for our trial experience, and the entry point for our eCommerce store, which is now a multi-million-dollar business for BlueJeans.
Overall, the Lead Web Developer is responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the BlueJeans website (using Drupal). From a leadership perspective, the role requires working across multiple business stakeholders—including engineering, product management, IT, legal, customer support, and eCommerce – to ensure we have a well-functioning, modern web experience. The role also requires technical deliverables, including but not limited to website theme development and enhancements, database management, custom module, and plugin development, as well as the maintenance, security, and management of the website hosting environment.
