We are looking for Sr. ITS Engineer to support and grow ITS and traffic programs in Orlando, FL.  This position requires a BS in Civil Engineering or related engineering field (minimum) with between 5-10+ years of experience using technology to enhance throughput and safety on existing highways and to build cutting-edge traffic management capabilities into new roadways. Our Traffic/Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer jobs provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects. This position also requires experience with ITS devise specification and placement and experience with: traffic operations center design, traffic signal systems, field deployment of ITS, electrical and telecommunications design, systems engineering, highway design, traffic engineering, as well as familiarity with AASHTO and MUTCD standards. Knowledge of CADD/Design Software (MicroStation) is desired. Our ideal candidate has strong written and oral communication skills as well as a desire to grow personally and professionally. Prefer experience with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and/or Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) plans production and design experience. 
 
 
Qualifications
 
•Minimum of 5 years of directly applicable experience in ITS.
•A bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline (e.g. traffic engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, etc.). 
•Proficient in the design and review of ITS specifications, cost estimates, final bid packages.  
•Must have plan production and post design support experience, preferably with FDOT or GDOT projects. 
•Required experience with design criteria, standards, and specifications (AASHTO and MUTCD) with preference to candidates with FDOT or GDOT experience.
•Expertise in the development of technical specifications, preferably with FDOT or GDOT standards. 
•Adept at coordination of ITS and traffic design activities and meetings between staff, subcontractors, and clients.
•Florida PE or ability to obtain within 6 months if registered in another state. 
Have strong written and oral communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
