Description of Duties:

The Director of Systems Engineering and Integration supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

 

  • Perform as the IRES Director, Systems Engineering and Program Integration (SEPI).
  • Perform as the IRES Chief Systems Engineer.
  • Perform as the cost, schedule and performance manager for the SEPI Task Order.
  • Be responsible for leading the IRES integrated effort to infuse consistent systems engineering throughout the MDA enterprise. Lead the IRES effort to integrate systems engineering efforts across the enterprise.
  • Be responsible for leading and managing the enterprise level integration efforts and meetings across the contract and IRES Operations Meeting.
  • Be responsible to support the IRES Executive Leadership Council, Joint Risk and Opportunities Board and other enterprise level oversight meetings and boards.
  • Act as primary interface with the IRES contract government leadership and oversight personnel.
  • Lead the Systems Engineering and Program Integration team ensuring the team successfully meets/exceeds the TO 8002 Performance Work Statement requirements.

 

This position will be filled at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO

Qualifications

 

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 18 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 16 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 14 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 12 years of general experience.

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in a management or leadership role
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Requirements:

  • Have at least 12 years of directly related experience in system engineering and program integration
  • Current PMP certification
  • Current Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification
  • Proficient in proposal development, business development, contracting, and business and financial concepts
  • Operational familiarity with missile defense concepts and operational capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate disparate requirements into enterprise solutions
  • 15 years or more of management and leadership experience
