Jacobs is seeking a full-time System Administrator Journeyman on the eFinance, LeaveWeb, FMSuite (eLF) contract in Dayton, OH. This position will provide daily maintenance of the computers, networks and servers used by the eLF development team and short and long-term planning for the computer, network communications, software, network and computer security needs of the team in support of the eLF contract.

 

Work Scope (Duties & Responsibilities):

  • Maintains all production, development, training, and test environments to conduct ELF development, maintenance, sustainment, enhancement, and production processing.
  • Performs general maintenance and system administration required for operating these environments wherever they are hosted.Provides System Administration for all environments. Administers and maintains the operating system, hardware, and software. Responsibility for hardware may transfer to the cloud service provider in the future.
  • Maintaining a production system availability rate of 99.7% or greater except for scheduled maintenance. Providing processing capability 24 hours per day, 7 days a week Installing, maintaining, upgrading, and migrating hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Monitoring, analyzing and implementing Time-Compliance Network Orders (TCNO), Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Packages, Critical Patch Updates (CPU), and other remediation activities required to maintain the systems security., integrity, and availability.
  • Perform application and server DISA STIGs maintenance.
  • Establishing, tracking, and managing ports, protocols, and services (PPS)within the appropriate PPS Management tools.
  • Implementing, integrating, and managing the systems Primary Key Infrastructure(PKI) certificates. Implementing and enforcing required Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) audit requirements.
  • Performing network and interface monitoring, management, and Troubleshooting

Qualifications

 

Education Desired/Required:

Associate of Science degree in Information Technology, IT Security, Network Systems Technology or other related scientific or technical discipline or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and certifications; and at least one (1) year of related work experience.

   

Experience Required/Desired:

 

Knowledge, skills & abilities required:

 

  • Skills in VMWare, SQL Server 2014, and SQL Server 2016 require
  • Skills in performing database monitoring, maintenance, optimization and design tasks
  • Knowledge of structured query languages plus knowledge of Microsoft Server 2003 Operating systems, Microsoft 2012 and 2016 Operating systems, Dell PS Series SANs, Dell PowerEdge Blade Enclosure, and Network technologies
  • Skills in performing server backup and restoration of archived data utilizing Symantec Backup Exec 2012 and VMWare snapshots
  • Ability to perform database development in a structured process oriented CMM/CMMI environment desired

Training & Certifications:

 

DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher required (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE or SSCP)

 

Guidelines (level of supervision required to perform):

Essential Functions

  

Physical Requirements:

Mostly sedentary.  Must be able to walk and stand with or without aid.  Long exposure to computer monitors.  Consistent wrist movement.

 

Work Environment:

Cubical environment in a restricted work area.

 

Criticality of Attendance:

Must be able to work within the shift hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

 

With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.

 

Equipment and Machines:

Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies.

 

Other Essential Functions:

 

Must be a U.S. Citizen

 

Must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance, if applicable. 

 

Must pass drug testing.

 

Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
