Job Description

Our public health group is growing and we’re currently seeking a Lead Research Scientist to work in our Sexual Health Portfolio. This position is 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities: 

Perform complex and advanced statistical analyses of surveillance and research data. Prepare reports, manuscripts, briefing materials, etc., of surveillance and research results for publications. Develop and implement study design aspects to including:

  • statistical aspects such as power and sample size calculations;
  • data management and data analyses plans;
  • development of study procedures for data collection and indicate best recommendations among different sampling plans, data sources, and cost/time investments.

Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Synthesize findings into written reports. Contribute to proposal efforts, including but not limited to technical writing.

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD/master’s in a relevant field (e.g., public health, psychology, statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology)
  • Minimum of seven years of experience involving management and analysis of quantitative heath data
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute technical approaches to solving research questions
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and good knowledge of at least one statistical package (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata, SAS)
