Job Description:

ICF looking for a dynamic Technical Project Manager with a strong consulting background who has a keen ability to improve overall project operations.  The Project Manager will act as a key liaison between client representatives and our internal teams to continue a program with a strategic client.  You will be client facing and will be helping to continue and strengthen long term relationships with the customer.  You will provide strategic technical vision and contribute to the development of the client’s strategic business plans by understanding the future direction of their organization, the industry, and the customer's business.  In doing so, you will guide team members with technical direction, and achieve program goals within budget and timeline objectives.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop long-term partnerships with customers and contribute to the development of their strategic business plans by understanding the future direction of their organization, the industry, and the customer's business.
  • Develop working relationships with staff to facilitate the timely delivery of excellent quality work products while maintaining the project budget and schedule.
  • Work closely with the stakeholder groups to translate business use cases to specific solution architecture design, including assisting with planning the implementation timelines and then looping back to address subsequent questions and confirming  implementation guidelines are followed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 years of direct work experience in project or program management in a regulatory environment
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience working with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Pentaho etc.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineer preferred
  • Proven ability to resolve issues; manage resources; interface with client representatives regarding project progress
  • Proven ability to provide technical strategic guidance to the customer and project team
  • Excellent analytical and proven problem-solving skills
  • Competent understanding of project management methodology including the ability to manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, and run team meetings
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Willing to travel 10% of the time
  • Basic understanding of Big Data Systems a plus
  • Solid understanding of the software development cycle paired with an ability to define/document business processes and software requirements for technology initiatives
  • Business research know how and other quantitative/qualitative methods
