Responsibilities: Participate in risk assurance advisory engagements, including internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) assistance, risk assessments, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), and maturity assessments. Assist in the design and development of risk assessments, data analytics analysis, annual audit plans, audit programs, testing approaches, working papers, internal audit reports, and other deliverables based on engagement requirements. Research technical accounting issues and participate in improving technologies, including intelligent automation and data analytics. Understand and utilize KPMG’s Audit Methodology.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00am – 5:00pm)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or foreign equivalent in Accounting or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the offered position or a related occupation. Employer will accept a master’s degree plus two (2) years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of experience. Up to 20% travel to various locations per business need. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Two years of experience must include: designing and developing internal controls to mitigate financial statement risks, operational risks, and compliance risks, including risks related to 3rd parties and contractors, conflicts of interest, and contract management; reviewing, collecting, and analyzing data to detect deficient controls, fraud or noncompliance with laws, regulations, and management policies in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act-Section 404 and evaluating internal control deficiencies in accordance with PCAOB guidelines; utilizing Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) framework, including internal control components and enterprise risk management methodologies; performing risk assessment procedures, developing audit programs, and evaluating accounting and disclosure requirements in accordance with auditing standards; and utilizing advanced data analytic methodologies to identify and prioritize risks and to design internal control testing procedures.
