We are looking for a professional Field Inspector to add to our New Jersey team! You’ll perform quality control for the new and rehabilitation of road and/or bridges, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, concrete work, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation work, coordination and safety, throughout New Jersey.
You’ll also read contract documents and construction plans; will be responsible for field construction efforts, construction sequencing, cost, scheduling and performance decisions. Assuring that proper document control, quality assurance documentation and construction project records are kept, as well as assuring quality and uniformity in the records of various contracts in the overall program.

Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
• At least 5 years of construction inspection experience
• Experience in construction bridge inspection, maintenance and protection of traffic for day and night time operations
• NICET III Certification
• Bridge Inspection/Reconstruction experience
• Ability to read contract documents and construction plans
• Valid Driver’s License
Ideally, you'll also have:
• Rehabilitation & new construction roadway; earthwork, sub base, concrete and asphalt pavement, drainage, sewer, waterlines and mains, lighting, guide rail and striping experience
• Site Manager experience
• ACI Certification
• NETTCP Asphalt Certification
• NACE Certification
• AWI Certification
• OSHA 10 hr Certification
Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
