Description
 Jacobs is Hiring a Senior Network Engineer Expert. The candidate must be able to quickly understand the NetSec environment so that they can independently work on specific requirements from.
 
Must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software. 
Have extensive experience in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, as well as server and network infrastructure is required. 
This position tests and analyzes elements of network facilities, including power, software, security features, communications devices, communications lines, modems, and terminals and is responsible for the overall integration of the enterprise network. 
Must be responsible leading and managing the  planning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management and coordination of the network. 
This position monitors and controls the performance and status of network resources by using software and hardware tools, as well as by identifying and diagnosing complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
 
 
 
Qualifications
 Twelve (12) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Four (4) years of additional network engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Five (5) years experience with the following Network Tools; What’s Up Gold and NetFlow.
Three years’ experience with DCID 6/3 and/or ICD 503, “Intelligence Community Information Technology Systems Security Risk Management, Certification and Accreditation”, dated 15 September 2008
Three years’ experience creating firewall rule sets from analysis of network traffic
Three years’ experience with component validation of security devices
Three years’ experience integrating boundary solutions into customer networks
Three years’ experience configuring switches, routers, and firewalls
Network Engineer III (HPNA) The candidate must have strong HPNA expertise.

Certifications:

IAT Level II Degree: B.S. in Technical field

Clearance Requirement:

This position requires a TS/SCI with Poly Clearance, based on current background investigation.

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements:
Most work will be done at a desk or computer.

Work Environment:
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.

Equipment & Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

Attendance:
Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Other Essential Functions:
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
