JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role oversees all Marketing Planning & Execution strategies for a complex of two hotels: Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills and The Beverly Hilton. Responsible for the development, management, execution and measurement of all aspects of marketing/branding strategies including but not limited to: Marketing Budgets, Social Media, Websites/Content, SEO, Digital & Print Advertising, Collateral, Video/Photography Assets. In addition, this role will be responsible for networking with local resources in the community to promote the hotels and manage public relations initiatives to leverage and increase the hotels awareness and position the hotel in the market. The Director of Marketing & eCommerce will work alongside the Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Revenue Management to achieve budget, increase revenue, and hit market share targets.

 

The Director of Marketing & eCommerce may also act as a liaison between the hotel and regional support, outside agencies and contracted vendors/service providers. This role requires extensive and regular interaction and collaboration with hotel’s Director of Sales & Marketing and the Director of Revenue Management.

 

An extensive background in brand positioning and eCommerce will be essential to drive success in this role.

 

Keys to Success

 

  1. Builds a close alignment with on-property, regional, and brand marketing teams.
  2. Aligns strategic marketing KPIs and set goals in partnership alignment with the General Manager.

 

  1. Develops a comprehensive strategic marketing plan inclusive of relevant hotel positioning to effectively deliver engaging messaging to an ideal targeted customer focused on driving commercial metrics.

 

  1. Analyzes marketing and digital performance in alignment with the Director of Revenue Management to make data-driven decisions on budgets and strategic and tactical executions.

 

  1. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects at once.

 

  1. Serves as a marketing evangelist – helping to educate property leaders and owners on marketing strategies, tactics, and results (both at a property and enterprise level)  

 

  1. Has a passion for learning and staying on the cutting edge of new digital strategies, trends and technologies and attends related trade/business events, conferences and workshops (where applicable).

 

  1. Highly adaptable to seasonality and priority shifts

 

 

 

What are we looking for?

 

Education:

  • Four year college degree required.
  • Emphasis in marketing and/or public relations preferred

 

Experience:

  • 7+ years of combined marketing, advertising, and/or ecommerce marketing experience. 
  • Prior experience analyzing marketing and eCommerce reports is required
  • Prior hotel/travel industry experience preferred, but not required
  • Prior luxury experience preferred, but not required
