Description of Duties:

The Cybersecurity Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

• Develop and document security architectures and solutions for systems, applications, and networks.  Strong Linux, Windows and Network background.
• Support the architecture and design of ACAS, SIEM, IDS/IPS and HBSS. Familiar with architecture and design of enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Multifactor Authentication (MFA), Identity and Access Management solutions.
• Perform research and development including requirements analysis, technology maturity assessment, alignment and traceability, and recommended technological improvements (e.g., innovation) to the STaRS enterprise.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor-ship to the STaRS O&M crews regarding Security Systems Architecture.
• Develop and document network enterprise systems solutions in accordance with approved engineering lifecycle products and review project designs.

This position is located at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 16-18 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 14-16 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 12-14 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 10-12 years of general experience.

• Must have 9 years of directly related experience.
• Must possess a DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level II approved cert (i.e. CISSP)
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Masters’ degree in an Engineering or IT technical field.
• Active DoD Security Clearance of Top Secret or TS/SCI
• 8570 IA Workforce IAT and IASAE Level II Approved Baseline Certification; current certifications that fall into this category are: CAP, GSLC, CISM, CASP CE, Associate CISSP, and CISSP.
