Serves as an OSINT Analyst, integrates intelligence data, analyze, and produce open-source intelligence in response to priority intelligence requirements on political, military, economic, social, criminal, or counter-terrorism issues. Provides linguist and cultural SME support as part of the OSINT data analysis cell; Provides analysis of the media articles collected through the OSINT cell from many different sources and types of news media taking into account each source's unique biases.
Applies knowledge of history, local customs, and current events in targeting, assessment, and trend analysis processes. Monitors local/regional print media sources, radio, television and satellite transmissions, and provides assessments of intelligence impacts. Conducts internet searches of geographic and topical interest for inclusion in OSINT reports and products. Provides specialized analytical products. Knowledge of translating documents, conversations and media into English desired. Knowledge of interpreting during meetings, training, and special operations desired. Experience conducting OSINT supporting a tactical to operational unit desired. Experience writing reports and information papers to support OSINT collection desired.
Produces daily, weekly and monthly SM summaries as directed. Produces and disseminates written reports (topic papers, white papers, electronic, briefings, conferences, etc.) formatted according to customer defined requirements. Researches, evaluates, correlates, analyzes, integrates and interprets information from multiple operational sources of target systems analysis and cyberspace planning. Analyzes exploited information to derive facts, inferences, and make sound judgements on available information.
May coordinate with IC members and conduct analytic exchanges with IC partners and operational forces to maintain communications and situational awareness of daily activities within assigned AOR or focus area.
Military experience or experience working with the military is considered a plus.
Has received specialized analytical or intelligence training as a result of military training, formal government agency training, or real-world experience.
Possesses specific or combined knowledge (religion, culture, language, social, political, geographic, etc.) as a result of in-depth study, education, in-country experience, professional associations, etc. that is applicable to a customer-defined target set.
Has a thorough knowledge of current and trending social media (SM) platforms including capabilities, limitations, target audience, content, platform regulations, requirements, and EULA specifications.
Is able to differentiate between PAI, PII, and is cognizant of Intelligence Oversight regulations.
Conducts SM research and aggregates SM data utilizing publicly available search engines, customer-defined software, software applications, and tools for locating, identifying, and collecting information of interest.
Processes SM of interest to include translation, interpretation, and exploitation of language, sentiment, cultural nuances, and metadata that defines and describes a virtual presence within the SM environment.
Researches, evaluates, correlates, analyzes, integrates and interprets information across multiple SM platforms to draw baseline inferences of the SM information environment or define and describe the SM environment within a given topic area.
Analyzes exploited SM information to derive facts, inferences, and make sound judgements on available information to support customer requirements.
Masters + 4 years OR Bachelors + 6 years OR 10 years of experience
Requires knowledge of foreign language with DLPT level 3+ or
Superior according to the American Council on the teaching of foreign languages
