The Jacobs Engineering Development and Special Projects Division (EDSP) develops hardware solutions and products for the Intelligence Community and DoD missions. This includes hardware products related to the Signals Intelligence(SIGINT) mission, Tagging, Tracking, & Locating (TTL) mission, special communications technologies such as software defined radios (SDRs), and Electronics Packaging. If you are an innovative, Senior Hardware Test Engineer professional with at least ten (10) years of experience who has a passion for learning new things and want to work with fellow creative minds to make your team’s best ideas become reality—then look no further! Qualifications
Required:-10+ years’ experience of hardware testing engineering. -Experience writing test scripts in Python or another scripting language
-Experience with Altium Designer to support test interface board schematic capture and PCB board layout. -Ability to setup and operate RF test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, etc. -Experience in test plans, test procedures, and test reports. -Ability to read and understand datasheets for RF, Digital and Analog components. -Ability to work in a dynamic environment with cross-functional teams. -Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously. -Effective time management and prioritization skills. -Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred: -Familiarity with National Instruments PXI and TestStand environments. -Experience reusing test sets for multiple devices under test. -Experience transitioning from design verification to production testing. -Experience with analyzing test hardware failures for root causes and corrective actions. -Familiarity with radiation hardness and environmental stresses for the space environment. -Hands-on experience with space-bound hardware integration and test. -Understanding of RF test tools, procedures, and measurements. -Hands-on experience with RF test chambers. -Familiarity with the operational concepts of radar systems. -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Clearance Requirement: CLEARABLE This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Clearance processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include but are not limited: o U.S. Citizenship (Required)
