SAIC is seeking an experienced individual to join SAIC’s team, in support of the U.S. Southern Command’s Cyber IT Enterprise Services (SCITES), to help provide our Nation for contingency planning, operations, and security operations to Central America, South America, the Caribbean areas.

  The candidate selected for this position shall:
  • Serve as a team leader for support tasks involving engineering development, integration, interface design analysis, integration of infrastructure, and testing of software and hardware

  • Perform system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, software, operating systems, and other platform specifications to meet project requirements while maintaining interoperability with existing legacy systems

  • Plan large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and trade/cost studies
  • Candidate will be directly responsible for daily customer coordination, communications and reporting

  • Candidate will have excellent communications skills, verbally and written capable of briefing senior command military and civilian leadership

  • Oversee multiple technical task leads ensuring system/security operational capabilities, availability and compliance

  • Maintains and manages the client interface at senior levels of the client organization.

  • Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews

  • Champion the integration of industry best practices and innovation to improve operational performance, availability, capacity and cost efficiency

  • Identifies trends, determines system improvements, and implements changes to maintain and improve customer satisfaction


Qualifications

Required:
  • Currently possess a TS clearance with SCI eligibility

  • DoD 8570 certification (minimum Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II)

  • Work location Doral, Florida

Desired:

  • Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and eight years (8) or more experience

  • A minimum of five years of experience leading teams of network operations staff with skills applicable to a program environment 

  • Possess a current Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) certification

  • A minimum of six years of experience with DISA’s Joint Regional Security Stack

  • A minimum of six years of experience supporting global network systems and subsystems; troubleshooting a wide range of LAN, Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), BGP, WAN, and network/service availability; and making recommendations for system fixes and enhancements

  • A minimum of three years of experience with IPv4 and IPv6 protocol stacks

  • A minimum of three years planning and executing local and long-haul communications

  • A minimum of three years of experience supporting and troubleshooting firewall appliances and rulesets and working with firewall solutions
