Job Description



Jacobs has a Watch Analyst opening on a contract in Herndon,VA. 

Duties include:

  • Actively monitor TAC and its subordinate systems to ensure continuity and availability of data
  • Perform initial troubleshooting and coordinate response efforts with Tier-2 system engineers
  • Provide technical assistance to users experiencing trouble accessing and using the system
  • Troubleshoot PKI problems utilizing authentication services
  • Receive, respond to, and properly document user requests in a timely manner
  • Provide support both over-the-phone and through email in the construction of queries and analytic grid frameworks to persistently monitor the essential elements of interest to DIA’s analytic cadre
  • Provide content administration and query quality control of the analytic query database
  • Assist with the development of team SOPs and SharePoint site
  • Collect and report individual and group metrics
  • Think, analyze, Connect (TAC) is a web-based analytic support service used to leverage large datasets and aid in development of predictive analysis in the Intelligence Community



  • Active TS/SCI polygraph security clearance. 
  • Prior experience in the Intelligence Community 
  • Ability to work a shift at the discretion of the scheduler, that supports 24/7 operations, to include weekends and holidays as randomly assigned.  No exceptions.
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work multiple levels and input systems simultaneously and expeditiously

The following are desired qualifications: 

  • Prior experience with TAC (user or admin) is highly desired
  • Experience supporting and maintaining IT systems remotely
  • Prior All Source , GEOINT, SIGNIT, or HUMINT analyst
  • Database search authoring.  (Python, PSL, etc.)
  • Experience supporting and maintaining I.T. systems or monitoring equipment status remotely
  • BA/BS degree or progressive and relevant education, training and/or certification(s) desirable but not required

Most work will be done at a desk or computer.

Work Environment:

General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.


Equipment & Machines:

General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.


Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, shiftwork, to include nights, weekends and holidays.  However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
