Summary:
SAIC is currently looking for Project Integration Managers to support launch system SE&I activities for the Launch Enterprise (ECL) at SMC. This position in El Segundo, CA. Key aspects of this oversight will include the following:
Test & Integration
Launch Vehicle, Payload and Launch Site Integration
Day of Launch Activities
Launch Mission Assurance activities, in cooperation with FFRDC
Launch Integration Scheduling
Coordination with launch vehicle providers, satellite developers, associate contractors, FFRDC, and launch program office teams
Job Specific Responsibilities:
This position with be part of the Falcon team. Individuals will be interacting directly with the Govt, The Aerospace Corporation, and the Launch Service Provider Team (SpaceX).
Ensure designs fully support requirements and are consistent with customer budget, schedule, risk profile and organizational/system constraints
Integration support responsibilities include program plan development and maintenance, including performing launch vehicle mission trade studies, mission analysis, managing console operations, monitoring/ analyzing real-time launch vehicle data the development of mission unique requirements and derived requirements identification, monitoring and verifying all launch vehicle and satellite vehicle interface requirements including satellite vehicle transportation and processing requirement. Support includes an understanding of the launch services contract requirements and Launch Systems Integration Contractor (LSIC) service contract requirements to manage engineering change proposal incorporation, including change definition, contract modification technical evaluation, and launch operations planning and execution. Requires close coordination with the space vehicle program, launch vehicle contractor, operating location, Range, and other associated contractors and organizations. Requires a working knowledge of USSF Engineering Launch Support System (ELSS) architecture and components, including the Launch Vehicle Launch Support Centers (LVLSC) at the launch bases.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience involving launch vehicles used in NSSL launches or similar category with commercial launches, or experience involving launch vehicles used orbital launches other than those described in 1 above.
Experience involving ballistic missile launches, launch process and operations experience, mission integration experience, experience involving ground systems, experience involving other than launch vehicle propulsion comparable to launch propulsion.
Participated with senior managers to establish plans and objectives
Ability to recommend/make decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.
