The Account Manager is responsible for developing and cultivating strong client relationships, providing strategic direction, and addressing client’s needs relative to Viasat’s Secure Network Systems (SNS) business portfolio. The ideal candidate will look to not only deliver a customer experience but navigate complex enterprise organizations to drive utilization and account expansion for our largest customers.
Focus is on understanding and providing strategic solutions and leadership for client accounts, understanding the clients objectives and challenges, developing strategies, and identifying solutions to accomplish customer goals. The ideal candidate should endeavor to become a trusted advisor and partner engaging C-suite executives to individual employees often acting as a liaison between internal teams to ensure the customer needs are being met.
Success in this area includes providing understanding and feedback to Viasat Engineering, Marketing, etc. in order to influence roadmap development and on-going value add solutions that transition successfully into the market.
The successful candidate should be capable of demonstrating a track record of client relationship development and expansion – solid experience in formulating and driving long-term strategic account plans – and the capability to guide and influence market based development programs effectively.
The candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, a proactive self-starter, have excellent verbal and written communications skills, and is a team player.
Job requires a strong technical background related to enterprise, infrastructure and cloud solutions. Most likely has worked with or for a world class infrastructure equipment provider and has 5-7 years or more of related experience.
As a leader with an entrepreneurial, proactive spirit that has experience growing business, you will rapidly understand ViaSat capabilities and customer needs and grow the business. You will contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives. You will work in cross functional, geographically diverse teams and have the opportunity to develop and execute a vision for how to take ViaSat to a higher level of impact and influence with our customers. You will have the flexibility to work remotely, and/or perform in a small office environment with minimal management oversight.
