We apply our expertise and knowledge as we investigate the future with great optimism and focus.   As a Water Design-Build Sales Manager, you’ll leverage your people management skills to help your team members discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward.
  
You’ll support business development activities leading to the award of design-build contracts; including client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, oral presentations, and contract negotiations consistent with established business development processes.

We’ll ask you to develop a thorough understanding of traditional design-bid-build, design-build (DB), and design-build-operate (DBO) and design-build-operate-finance (DBFO) contracting mechanisms as well as the industry and competitive environment across the United States and Canada. As a leader, we’ll have you demonstrate a full understanding of the DB Delivery model and sales process, including all the permutations (lump sum, progressive, CMAR, GCCM) being used in the industry today. You will also demonstrate the ability to build, manage, positively motivate, and work within high-performance technical and sales teams by having the ability to build trust and relationships with Clients and Client Account Managers (CAM’s) and educate them both on delivery options and approaches.

You’ll serve as an outside sales leader, interface directly with Clients, go toe to toe in negotiating with our teaming partners (engineering and contractors), sub-contractors, operators, attorney’s, financiers and client procurement organizations. 

You’ll have the opportunity to lead and manage high performing sales teams through all phases of a pursuit to accomplish established objectives consistent with our business development process and within set budgets and schedules.

You’ll be empowered to generate statement-of-qualification packages, proposals, and/or presentations, in partnership with the procurement team, meet proposal requirements, and are consistent with the sales strategy while simultaneously ensuring that Jacob's business and policy expectations are met in the areas of: health and safety, engineering, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk, scope and change management.

Qualifications
 Here's What You’ll Need: 

• BS or BA in engineering, construction, or related field required
• Experience as a high-level Construction Professional, with past experience leading teams and client partnership
• Previous water Design build experience in sales or delivery

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Proven client development skills, including previous experience managing consulting led projects 
• Proven track record of creating and winning work 
• Proven record of developing zippered relationships with key clients at all levels (from executives to key management levels)
