Application Development Manager– Boston, MA
Job Description:
Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Application Development Manager in Boston, MA to lead the delivery of technical software solutions for business initiatives in Data organization. S/he will perform the following duties: develop application and component strategy in line with the business strategy for one or more programs; Architect the development strategy for data applications and components; drive the design and implementation of models and systems to harness the power of data and analytics that can be used to drive decision making; integrate large and complex systems and data effectively and efficiently; build systems and solutions to extract data from multiple sources including sales, inventory, product, and customer databases to create integrated views that can be used to drive decision making; partner with the enterprise architects to drive improvements and enhancements to the current data landscape and future strategy with a cloud migration roadmap; oversee large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts at a client or within Accenture; manage one or multiple development streams in line with the overall program(s) timing and milestones; oversee overall deployment plan, including the development plan and schedule; design, build, assemble, and configure the application or technical architecture components using business requirements; build and leverage reusable code and libraries for future use; partner with the testing teams to ensure applications/components are fully functional; oversee and fix any defects or performance problems discovered in testing; ensure communication from/ to the technical architect of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project; ensure maintenance activities are in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or other business requirements; provide architecture Quality Assurance reviews for proposals and ongoing engagements; and support the technology solutioning and estimating in proposals, planning, and pricing.


Basic Qualifications:

This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering (any), or in a closely related field plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience as an Application Development Specialist/Analyst, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer or in a related IT position. This position also requires the following professional experience: 5 years of experience architecting, designing and implementing ETL ( Extract, Transform and Load) solutions using tools such as tools such as Talend and DataStage; 3 years of experience in implementing BigData solutions; 1 year of experience implementing solutions leveraging Cloud technologies; 4 years of experience with Oracle or Teradata Database design and architecture, support and implementation; 4 years of experience  developing programs using scripting languages - Unix Shell scripting, and Python; and 4 years of experience in using Software engineering practices including Agile delivery methodologies for project delivery.
