As an emerging Structural Engineering Professional in Orlando, FL, you will support our Federal Buildings and Infrastructure Design Practice and have a hand in transforming tomorrow. You’ll be surrounded by expert mentorship opportunities to help you thrive in your new career.
At Jacobs our structural engineers are responsible for the structural design for new structures as well as existing structural upgrades. Our engineers design unique projects, and perform investigations to make expert recommendations to clients for various purposes.
Assist in structural computations and detailed examination of concrete and steel structures and conducts calculation checks.
Assist with design drawings, specifications, reports, and other project deliverables while working with the structural engineering team and other disciplines within the project team.
Makes technical assumptions to complete assigned work, and draws engineering conclusions.
Performs assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and codes.
Provide design inputs and reviews of other engineer's projects.
Attend meetings with clients and promote positive client contact with current or prospective clients.
Participate as a team member, contributing ideas and possible solutions where appropriate.
Here's What You'll Need:
Masters Degree in Civil Engineering with a emphasis on structural Engineering from ABET accredited school.
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE).
Exposure to BIM and structural analysis software (Revit, Staad, SAP, et.).
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and written communication skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
