Job Description

We are seeking a Production Lead Engineer to join our team. Our division is a subset of the company, comprised of engineers of various disciplines organized into product development teams. We are looking for a highly motivated engineer who enjoys a challenging and dynamic environment. You will have the opportunity to delve into all levels of electronic assembly: from bare die to printed circuit board manufacturing and surface mount technology to integration of final assemblies for terrestrial, airborne, and space applications.
  • Lead the transition of products through R&D design to low and high rate production
  • Ensure that manufacturing documentation and data packages are complete and accurately reflected in the company’s configuration management system.
  • Interface with purchasing, part suppliers and vendors to coordinate the specification, purchase and delivery of complex fabricated components.
  • Track and manage product build-up from bare boards through final assembly and hand off to Integration and Test or customer delivery.
  • Develop, document, and execute manufacturing processes.
  • Develop, execute, and document technical reports for process validation plans.
  • Design and conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate material selections and/or advanced electronic packaging manufacturing processes.
  • Interface with design and production teams throughout product lifecycle.
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics assembly and packaging.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, microelectronic, manufacturing engineering or related technical field
  • Must have good interpersonal and team-oriented skills.
  • Experience developing, documenting, and refining processes, including assembly, material processing, and environmental testing
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with methodically resolving complex production-related failures.
  • Hands-on manufacturing experience, including soldering and fabrication experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. 
  • Flexibility in supporting projects are scalable based on customer needs and requirements.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Ability to champion products and projects as they transition into a pre-production and production environment.
  • Familiarity with printed circuit board fabrication.
  • Experience with manufacturing and assembling products for space environments.
  • Experience creating and executing DOE (design of experiments).
  • Machine shop experience.
  • 3D Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) experience, especially SOLIDWORKS.
