This exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure program will utilize your Construction Management and Engineering focus to help ensure safe and efficient delivery. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with the project Contractors. This position reports directly to the Technical Services Manager, and is based in our Richmond, Virginia office where Jacobs provides the City of Richmond with program and construction management services for the rehabilitation of the City's sewers.

Responsibilities include providing project engineering support to the two Construction Management teams and supporting project development with the Technical Services team. Work includes reviewing and responding to technical and procedural submittals, review of construction documents, constructability reviews, providing technical support to inspection staff in the field, verifying pay quantities and contractor invoices, preparing meeting agendas and meeting minutes, determining the need for rehabilitation of deteriorated infrastructure, providing field investigation in support of project development, preparing project plans, sketches and cost estimates and reviewing material test reports and CCTV videos to assure compliance with specifications.

Must have the ability to execute multiple projects and react to change in a fast-paced environment, supporting the team to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved specifications and client quality standards. Coordinate with City agencies and third parties in the preparation of construction assignments.

 
Qualifications
 

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • BS in Civil, Construction Management or a closely related field
  • Experience with Civil, Municipal or underground utility construction
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite of software, ArcGIS/ArcMap and PDF editing applications
  • Experience with MS Teams as a remote collaboration tool
  • Valid Driver’s License

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Previous sewer rehabilitation or underground municipal utility experience
  • EIT certification
  • NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP training
  • OSHA 10/30/CSE certification CPR/AED/1st Aid Certification
