Assists in performing technical work. The work requires the ability to learn and apply established methods, procedures and techniques. Performs simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures. Provides support to include equipment management, inventory control, property control, warehousing, acquisition, quality control, receiving, shipping, assembly, packaging and transportation. Operates and updates computerized logistic systems. Assists in planning, coordinating and conducting logistics projects. Work requires some professional knowledge of logistics principles, techniques and practices and logistics programs and issues. Assists in preparing written plans, reports, schedules and milestones. Develops limited project plans, outlines procedures and issues, and identifies long and short term goals and objectives. Prepares portions of reports and follows up on findings of noncompliance and notices of violations. Participates in audit teams to conduct inspections of facilities and operations to ensure compliance with logistics regulations. Gathers data, analyzes and assists in interpreting data and reports. Coordinates issues pertaining to compliance and corrective actions. Assists in developing and conducts various logistics training. Participates in meetings regarding logistics concerns related to the assigned projects. May serve as primary operator of the Unit Level Logistics System S4 (ULLS-S4). Updates and maintains inventory records. Interfaces with the PBO and Primary Hand Receipt Holders to produce sub-hand receipts and component listings. Manages the ULLS-S4 database and supporting documents. Provides technical expertise regarding hand receipt management and property accountability. Manages the accountability of durable items. Signs for and delivers supplies and material to end users. Identifies excess and processes for turn-in. Confers with department supervisors to determine materials overdue and to inform them of location, availability, and condition of materials. Locates and moves materials to specified production areas. Records quantity and type of materials distributed and on hand.
3 yrs. applicable experience; or at least 60 credit hours or an Associate’s Degree and 1 yr. applicable experience; or 30 credit hours and 2 yrs. applicable experience; or completion of a formal training program and 1 yr. applicable experience.

UNUSUAL OR SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION
May require sitting in front of a computer for extended periods of time (up to 50%).The ability to squat and kneel is required (up to 25%). The ability to bend/stoop, reach above shoulder level, and climb into or under a vehicle is required (up to 50%). Walking a minimum of 50 yards over rough terrain is required (up to 25%). The ability to push and pull, as well as lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required (up to 75%). Position also requires walking for extended periods of time (up to 90%).
DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work environment may be inside or outside depending on the task. The ability to work in outside field conditions that include hot and cold extreme temperatures, and other outdoor climatic conditions (up to 25%). Must be able to work in areas where only portable restroom facilities are available (up to 25%). Work environment may be fast-paced and require work under pressure to meet deadlines associated with the completion of a task. Position will require multiple task efforts.
EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES INVOLVED IN WORK TASKS
Must have experience using a computer. Requires the ability to perform specified arithmetic computations. May operate hand or power trucks. The ability to work around moving machinery and equipment and to drive auto equipment, forklifts, and other equipment is required. Required to have good computer skills.
CRITICALITY OF ATTENDANCE
Attendance is critical at all times during normal duty hours. Work outside of normal duty hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required with as little as one-hour advance notice.
OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to obtain an interim secret security clearance in order to gain access to required areas, networks and systems within thirty (30) days of date of your offer letter. Must further be able to obtain and retain a secret security clearance. Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship. Must be able to obtain and retain unescorted access to work areas. May be subject to other physicals or exams if required to wear a respirator or are designated by the COR to have other physicals due to the work area in which you are assigned. May be subject to exposure to noise. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required. Must have a valid driver’s license and personal transportation for the purpose of moving around the proving ground to accomplish job functions and in order to operate a rental vehicle if and when travel is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a military driver’s license within 30 days of employment.
