Jacobs is seeking a qualified Sustainment Planning & Requirements Tech, to support the newly awarded NISSC II contract. Your career at Jacobs enables NISSC to fulfill its mission to “provide classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability in organizational work centers at NISSC sites.” As a member of our team, you will support corporate and customer mission to provide world-class IT services and support that connects systems and users across NORAD in the areas of software development/maintenance, network services, cyber security, systems administration, and other mission-critical areas.
Performs a broad level of complex administrative functions within a major business or specialized support function, and serves as a technical specialist in assigned area. Performs independent, non-routine assignments within areas of responsibility. Conducts significant portions of business operations as a specialist in the area, operating with considerable latitude for non-reviewed action or decisions. Conducts routine work independently, and handles non-routine portions of activity, including work requests. Analyzes data regarding complex issues and business systems. Prepares detailed management reports on the subject. Determines effectiveness of complex business systems and recommends improvements. Prepares and conducts briefings or presentations in areas of specialty. Works on special assignments, coordinates actions to correct problems, and documents subsequent revisions to correct procedures. May coordinate, plan, and organize activities of support personnel involved in equipment operations and maintenance. Establishes schedules within budget and time constraints. Applies concepts for developing and establishing systems engineering databases, templates, requirements, test and modeling tools. Interprets requirements and perform analyses to ensure that objectives are met.
Requires 2 years of college with courses in business administration or industrial management, and 8 years of progressively responsible administrative and/or technical support assignments. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience, and additional relevant experience may be substituted for education. Good oral/written communication skills and analytical capabilities required.

Experienced with independently evaluating, selecting, adapting, and modifying standard techniques and criteria in order to plan and conduct assignments. Experienced with requirement databases, plans, schedules and coordination of detailed phases of work through the selection and adaptation or modification of techniques, procedures, and criteria. Analyzes features of work and applies principles and practices of the discipline or devises new approaches in problem solutions. Thorough review of all results from assigned tasks and determine if outputs are complete, correct, integrated with project objectives, and adequately documented.
Experienced with the NORAD ITW/AA and Legacy Space mission systems. Experienced working on NISSC Products/Applications. Experienced with MBSE and associated tools. Experience with Agile principles and related tools, databases and processes. Experience with requirements databases, plans and scheduling tools. Meets DoD 8570 requirements.
Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment and Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
