Position Summary and Responsibilities

 

The successful candidate will play a leading role in the development of programs that create, support, and enhance non‐aeronautical airport revenues. The person best suited for this position will have experience specializing in innovative in‐terminal food, beverage, retail, and advertising concessions, developing industry leading rental car business programs, and planning for commercial real estate development in an airport environment, including public‐private partnership structures.

 

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise with members of LeighFisher’s global management consulting team. Clients in North America will be the primary focus for the individual selected, however a demonstrated ability and interest in expanding our aviation consulting business beyond North America is highly desirable.

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Develop and expand client relationships by delivering excellent value, consistent and dependable service, and high quality consulting
  • Monitor and manage business development opportunities, structure and draft proposals, including written materials, pricing and presentations
  • Provide deep technical leadership on complex projects
  • Support LeighFisher initiatives (e.g., succession planning, industry focus pieces / publications)
  • Willingness to travel at least 30%

 

Qualifications

 

In summary, we are seeking self-motivated individual with:

  • Postgraduate or professional qualification in Finance or Business (MBA, CFA, JD etc.) desired
  • 10+ years of experience in the field of airport finance, strategy, planning, or property management, including 5+ years in management level experience, or of progressive growth
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to read, interpret, and draft complex legal or regulatory documents; able to present results of complex analyses in an understandable format
  • Strong contract development skills with the ability to direct consultants on the development of commercial developments meeting financial goals while providing sound analytical advice

  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint is required
  • Superb analytical, qualitative, strategic thinking and decision making capabilities
  • Collaborative and team-oriented as well as highly resourceful and self-directed.  

Location:

 

This opportunity is available in a flex location and can be:  Phoenix, California (Los Angeles area) or the Denver office.  Other locations may be considered depending on candidate’s credentials.
