SAIC is looking for Ground Systems Engineer to support the Ground Element and Communication Transport with space acquisition, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of those systems, operational ground stations, and enterprise integration.  Provide direct support for major program acquisitions and their related contracts.  Possess and understanding of full life cycle system support, from procurement to sustainment, including requirements analysis, requirements tracking, design and development through system test, delivery, installation, transition to operations.

Responsibilities: 

Provide technical, engineering, and programmatic support to the ground element of SIGINT collection and processing.

Develop requirements, Statement of Work, technical specifications, and interface documents as well as evaluate developer proposals, concepts, and verification documentation.

Support long range ground element engineering and acquisition planning to meet existing missions and identify innovative means to satisfy future operational needs including ground hardware and software recapitalization, modifications, or improvements

Support integration with internal and external terrestrial communications systems network data users and ground hardware deployments

Support Information Systems Security Engineers with required ground element ATO activities

 

 

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors of Science Electrical or Software Engineering with focus in Communications and five (9) years of related experience; Masters of Science Electrical or Software Engineering and three (7) years of related experience 

Position Requires:

Prior experience with space and ground acquisition and operations

Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a complex government/contractor team environment

Understanding of ground element and communications transport systems architectures

Familiarity with government configuration management processes and security risk management frameworks

Knowledge of government software accountability, procurement, and problem resolution processes

Active TS/SCI with Poly
