Broadcast Production Director
The Broadcast Production Director oversees the broadcast production team, events, and media, , including onsite and offsite video capture, external stakeholder web streaming, video editing, external broadcasts to news networks, and internal streaming services. The Broadcast Production Director is responsible for production schedules, and coordinating staffing and equipment resources.
The Director oversees the full-service production studio, providing professional services in support of the Agency’s mission. The director also serves as the quality assurance officiant, ensuring all internal live events, broadcasts, delivery of pre-recorded and live content to major networks and streaming services are produced with minimal impacting interruption and error.
In addition, the director is a skilled technician who contributes to operational support, including serving as lead technician for major events. The odirector works in concert with the Infrastructure and Operations Support Services leadership team to manage and respond to support requests.
•Must have at least 7 years broadcast experience.
•Must be competent in the signal flow, use, and maintenance of digital television and radio equipment in all categories, including video processing, switching, and storage systems.
•Possess thorough knowledge of digital streaming techniques, including encoders and tri-casters.
•Must be proficient in video capture, web streaming, and video editing.
•Must have a thorough knowledge of IT computer systems, networks, network shares, routers and switches, FTP and file base workflows, and general security.
•Must have the ability to troubleshoot component level audio and visual equipment and provide Tier2-type support for meetings.
•Must have a thorough understanding of FCC Rules and Regulations relating to radio, television, and satellite broadcast (including NTSC Standards), 508 Compliance.
•Must have extensive knowledge of standard safety regulations and precautions.
•Must have experience with MS Teams.
•Must have experience producing live video engagement sessions.producing and sharing video messages.
• Experience working with top-level executives desired.
